Atlas Copco to accumulate Wangen Pumpen

Atlas Copco has agreed to acquire the German industrial pump producer Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH from non-public fairness agency Silverfleet Capital.

Headquartered in Wangen in the Allgäu region of Germany, Pumpenfabrik Wangen specialises in progressive cavity pumps used mainly in the biogas and wastewater sectors, and twin-screw pumps for meals and beverage and cosmetics applications.
Pumpenfabrik Wangen has manufacturing facilities in Germany, a US subsidiary and a worldwide gross sales and repair footprint. weksler ea14 employs 265 individuals and had 2020 revenues of roughly €46.4 million.
“Industrial pumps is a phase that we’ve recognized as a strategic fit for Atlas Copco and Wangen Pumpen has leading differentiated know-how with a strong aftermarket enterprise,” said Andrew Walker, president of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique business area. “Wangen Pumpen is a strong model and is understood for high quality in demanding industrial applications. This acquisition will create a strong foundation for additional development in new industrial pump segments.”
The acquired business will turn into a part of the Power and Flow division inside Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area.
The deal is expected to be accomplished through the second quarter of 2022 and is topic to regulatory approvals.
